Loops
Find, add and update contacts in Loops, send events that start loops, send transactional emails, and trigger workflows from contact and email events.
Tools
loops.find_contact
Look up a contact by email address or by your own user ID, with their subscription, mailing lists and custom properties. Returns a list, empty when nothing matches. Give email or user_id, not both.
loops.update_contact writes
Create a contact, or update the one with that email address or user ID. Returns the contact's ID.
loops.send_event writes
Send an event for a contact, which starts any loop triggered by that event name. Creates the contact if no one matches. Give email or user_id.
loops.send_transactional_email writes
Send a published transactional email to one address, filling its data variables. list_transactional_emails gives the IDs and the variables each one needs.
loops.list_transactional_emails
List published transactional emails with their IDs and the data variables each one takes. Pass pagination.nextCursor back as cursor for the next page.
loops.list_mailing_lists
List mailing lists with their IDs, for the mailing_lists argument of update_contact and send_event.
loops.delete_contact writes
Delete a contact by email address or user ID. Give one, not both.
loops.api_get
Send a GET request to any Loops API path under https://app.loops.so/api/v1 and return the response. For endpoints the named tools don't cover.
loops.api_request writes
Send a POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE request to any Loops API path under https://app.loops.so/api/v1.
Tick Allow raw writes on the connection to add api_request, which can send POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests to any Loops API path.
Connect
- In Loops, open Settings → API (app.loops.so/settings?page=api), choose Generate key, and copy it.
- Paste it as the connection's API key.
Credentials
Triggers
In Loops, open Settings → Webhooks (app.loops.so/settings?page=webhooks), enter this URL, switch on the events your workflows use, and paste the signing secret (whsec_…) on this connection. Loops allows one endpoint per account. The contact is in data.contactIdentity, and email events carry the email in data.email.
Events
