Search Google through Serper for web results, news, images, places and scholarly papers, so a workflow can find pages before it reads them.
Tools
serper.web_search
Search Google. Returns the organic results with title, URL, snippet and date, plus Google's answer box, knowledge graph and related questions when it shows them. Read a result's page with web.extract or builtin.fetch_page.
serper.news_search
Search Google News. Returns articles with title, URL, snippet, source and how long ago they were published.
serper.image_search
Search Google Images. Returns each image's URL and size with the page it appears on.
serper.places_search
Search Google Maps for businesses and places. Returns each place's name, address, rating, category, phone number, website and coordinates.
serper.scholar_search
Search Google Scholar. Returns papers with title, URL, authors and venue, snippet, year, citation count and a PDF link when there is one.
serper.api_get
Send a GET request to any Serper API path under https://google.serper.dev and return the response. For endpoints the named tools don't cover.
serper.api_request writes
Send a POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE request to any Serper API path under https://google.serper.dev.
Tick Allow raw writes on the connection to add api_request, which can send POST, PUT, PATCH and DELETE requests to any Serper API path.
Connect
- Sign in at serper.dev and open API Key in the dashboard's sidebar. Copy the key shown there.
- Paste it as the connection's API key. Every search costs a credit, verifying included; asking for more than 10 results costs two.
